  • School Board meeting: Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Hamburg Middle School, 360 Division St. (It is anticipated that the board will adjourn into executive session at 6:30 p.m. and return to regular session at 7:30 p.m.). A reception for the district's 2011-12 retirees will precede the meeting.

Voters have OK'd Hamburg Central's 2012-13 budget. The $56.6 million package passed 1,863-778 in voting on Tuesday, May 15.

  • Free electronics recycling on Sunday

    Free electronics recycling will be available on Sunday, May 20 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Hamburg High School, 4111 Legion Dr. This event is being sponsored by the PTSA. For information on items that will be accepted, go to www.sunnking.com/acceptable-materials.

  • Horizons summer school courses listed

    The Hamburg Horizons Summer School course list is now available. Registration will be held May 15-June 8. Horizons is an academic-based summer school for grades K-5 students, offering ELA and math courses along with exploratory classes in science, art, literature and a musical production.

  • Class of 1982 reunion on July 21

    The Hamburg High School Class of 1982 will hold its 30-year reunion on July 21 at 7 p.m. at J.P. Fitzgerald's, 4236 Clark St. Tickets are $30 presale until July 10; $40 thereafter.   • PreK enrolling students

    The district’s Universal PreKindergarten Program is enrolling children who will be four years old by Dec. 1, 2012. There is no cost for families who reside in the district. There also are no income restrictions.
